Atalanta & Gi Group together for the young

GiWorkOut webinar with Ruggeri, Caldara Sportiello

More than 2.000 young people, mostly students, from all over Italy participated in the second webinar GiWorkOut “What role do you want to play” held by Gi Group and Atalanta. This is the initiative of the Group with world-wide sports champions that is created to help the young with the Professional Orientation. After a big success in 2020, this year various meetings and new formats are expected.

The meeting which was addressed to schools and universities, involved in the discussion the Atalanta players Marco Sportiello, Mattia Caldara and Matteo Ruggeri and the Strategic Selling Director of Gi Group and former volleyball player, Pasquale Gravina.

During the meeting, the students had the possibility to analyse through the metaphor of sport the differences between the innate abilities, talent and competencies which, on the contrary, can be acquired by exercising daily and working hard. Besides the topics like soft skills, other crucial topics were covered, which have to do both with football and other jobs such as teamwork, collaboration and active listening, proactivity, adaptive skills and handling difficulties were discussed.

In this way, the collaboration between Atalanta and the first multinational Italian employment company continues which sees the link between two different (at first sight) worlds but that share the same values: first of all, support the young at this difficult time that we are living now.

“Despite the difficult times, we would like to support the youngest in Professional Orientation. Besides identifying themselves with a sports champion, in these meetings we’d like to emphasise the human aspect, the value system that is hidden behind a result and a goal, how a young person faces challenges – underlines Zoltan Daghero, Managing Director of Gi Group T&P. That’s why Gi Group plays an essential role offering GiWorkOut webinars to many school and university students in order to connect the world of education and the one of employment. We’ve already seen that such collaboration between our company and high schools is crucial for the professional orientation of the students”.

“It’s a pleasure to be able to support Gi Group in such initiatives – said Romano Zanforlin, Marketing and Sales Director of Atalanta -. Our Club has always supported the young. No wonder that the Nerazzurri Youth Academy is one of the most important at the international level. One of the Club’s missions, of course, is to provide the young boys and girls with the necessary tools so that they can succeed not only in sport but also and especially as humans, culturally, professionally and ethically. The initiatives like the one promoted by Gi Group are much welcomed”.
