Davide Zappacosta was awarded the Giorgio Giavazzi trophy as “Star of Today”, a recognition reserved for all the participants of the previous editions of the Angelo Dossena Tournament who are still active. Namely, Zappacosta took part in the 2011 edition as a member of the black-and-blue Primavera.

The award was issued on Monday evening at the San Domenico theatre in Crema during the unveiling of the 45th edition of the historical international tournament. The tournament, exclusively reserved for U19s teams, will also be attended by the black-and-blue Primavera between the 12th and 17th of June (drawn in Group A against the likes of Como, FeralpiSalò and Japanese side Jufa).
