The Nerazzurri fans have made their choice: Duván Zapata is the first Player of the Month of the 2020/21 season!

The initiative in partnership with ItalianOptic saw a first phase in which, through a poll, the Atalanta fans were able to choose their favorite among the players with at least one appearance in the eight matches played in September and October. The two finalists then came out of this first round: Remo Freuler and Duván Zapata played the final with lots of votes on the official social accounts of the Club. The Colombian won.

An absolutely deserved award for our number 91, who was one of the protagonists of the first two months of the season. Duván took part in all the eight games played by the Nerazzurri team for a total of 537 minutes and he also scored 5 goals (3 in the Champions League and 2 in Serie A) and provided 4 assists (equally divided between the UCL and the league).

Above all, the wonderful double against Ajax in the first historic Champions League match played at the Gewiss Stadium: two goals that allowed the Nerazzurri to come back and win a key point in terms of qualification.
