Gian Piero Gasperini spoke at a press conference ahead of Atalanta’s home match against Empoli, the last game before the final international break of the season. The 2022-2023 Serie A TIM matchday 27 fixture is scheduled for Friday 17 March at 20:45 CET at the Gewiss Stadium: “Tomorrow’s game will be far from easy, but we need a victory to boost our hopes, catch the teams ahead of us and keep those behind us at a distance. We will need great spirit tomorrow, we know it is all to play for against Empoli. Then there will be the international break and with that, we will recover some of our injured players, hopefully”.

Empoli have given a lot of teams difficulties: “Empoli are a young, fresh, exciting team that play football. In my opinion their club should be taken as an example for what they have always done; we will need a good performance against them”.
