POTM for April: Ruslan Malinovskyi wins!

Luis Muriel behind him

The Nerazzurri fans made their choice: Ruslan Malinovskyi is the Player of the Month for April!

It’s the second consecutive POTM award for the Ukrainian midfielder: in fact, after winning the POTM title in March within the initiative in collaboration with ItalianOptic, Ruslan receives the award for the month that has just passed thanks to his high-level performance and his decisive role during the matches.

After the usual initial poll, Ruslan prevailed then over Luis Muriel in a very tight final head-to-head round. The Colombian forward who was awarded as the MVP (the “Most Valuable Player”) for April by the Lega Serie A, won the POTM title in December and February. He surely deserved so many votes of our fans that weren’t enough, though, for him to win.

Beating Malina right now would be a hard task to perform, actually. Ruslan provided five assists and scored three goals, each one is more beautiful and more important than the last one. All this was done within five matches. He scored a decisive goal in the 87th minute in the big match against Juventus, then a goal that opened the scoring against Roma at the Olimpico (the match ended in a 1-1 tie) and against Bologna at the Gewiss Stadium.

Moreover, the statistics of Malinovskyi also reports 6 key passes. All this proves the importance and the key role of the Nerazzurri number 18 in April.

Never two without three? You will be able to find it out at the end of May!

For now, our congratulations, Malina!
