On matchday 23 of the 2020-2021 Primavera 1 TIM championship, it ends 2-2 against Sassuolo at the Bortolotti Training Centre in Zingonia, just like in the reverse fixture.
It was a great start for the Nerazzurri, as Sidibe threatened in the 5th minute: the goalkeeper took two attempts to save his header. Ghislandi’s shot on 6 was blocked by the defence. So, on 9, it was Cortinovis’ turn, but his finish went over the crossbar. Atalanta finally took the lead in the 11th minute: Rosa won the ball in the final third, Sidibe and Cortinovis worked it well, before Gyabuaa’s touch for Oliveri, who found the far top corner with a splendid right-foot curler. The Nerazzurri then doubled their lead on 27: Oliveri’s free-kick found Rosa’s header, who confirms himself to be on fire. This was the fourth goal in a row for the Roman striker. The visitors’ reaction arrived just before half-time: in the 38th minute, Ghislandi cleared a Saccani header and two minutes later, Scalvini blocked another attempt. Gelmi was injured during this move and he was replaced by Dajcar. Sassuolo pulled one back through Piccinini, who nodded in from a corner in the 43th minute.
In the second half, the Emilian team started strong: in the 50th minute, it took a great save from Dajcar to turn Marginean’s long-range shot onto the crossbar and a minute later Artioli’s shot, which was slightly deflected, finished just wide. On 57 Dajcar blocked well Oddei and then he repeated himself on 64, this time on Mercati with his foot. Rosa interrupted the visitors’ pressure on 76: his great shot from distance went inches wide. Sassuolo equalized in the 76th minute from the spot, after Scanagatta brought down Piccinini inside the box. Marginean converted to make it 2-2. The Nerazzurri thus climb up to 38 points.
