As part of matchday 24 of the 2022-2023 Primavera 1 TIM 2022-2023 “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti” league, coach Fioretto’s Atalanta U19s seized a 3-2 victory against Cesena at the Centro Sportivo Romagna Centro courtesy of Falleni’s double (in the stock photo) and Nipoti.

After a Gessaroli header smothered by Bertini, it was De Nipoti who actually opened the scoring for Atalanta in the 3rd minute. Testament to the Nerazzurri’s hunger for the three points was Falleni’s goal, which doubled the black-and-blue lead in the 14th minute. Despite a few threats from Cesena, Fioretto’s men headed into the break 2-0 up.

Falleni almost added another in the opening minutes of the first half, but Pollini pushed the effort away. Cesena reopened the game in the 60th minute through a Gessaroli header directly from a corner kick, which was followed by Cesena’s equaliser five minutes later, courtesy of Gessaroli again. Atalanta were not ready to throw in the towel though and restored their lead in the 74th minute again through Falleni, who redirected De Nipoti’s pass into the net and sealed the 3-2 victory over Cesena.
