Ever since becoming a Black-and-blue back in 2018, we witnessed him scoring a proverbial omnium-gatherum of goals: from the header against Manchester City to his finesse left and right curlers against, respectively, PSG and Roma. On Saturday against Hellas Verona, he caught us all unawares when he also showed off his poaching skills: as his relentless pressure panned out, he mugged the opposing goalie the ball and slotted it into the empty net. Surely, not a pageant-worthy goal by Mario Pašalić, but a capital one nonetheless as it closed the comeback and earned the Kockast mid a well-deserved place in today’s Wallpaper Wednesday spell!
