Here’s the verdict: a hat-trick for Duván Zapata who has been confirmed again as the Player of the Month for November!
Duván Zapata wins the Player of the Month award for the third straight time. After his success in August-September and October, the Colombian forward made it a hat-trick! The Nerazzurri fans have decided to award again the giant from Cali as the best Atalanta player for November in which Zapata proved to be in an enviable shape, pulling Atalanta through a period full of victories.
In collaboration with Atalanta’s Silver Sponsor ItalianOptic, the initiative consisted of two usual rounds: the first round of ballot ended with Duván Zapata and Mario Pašalić coming out on top and the final head-to-head round was held on the Nerazzurri’s social accounts, which saw the Colombian win November’s title. Pašalić surely deserves an honourable mention: he put in an extraordinary performance in November, opening it with a goal against Cagliari and ending it with the hat-trick against Venezia.
But it is Zapata who will bring the award home. He was on the scoresheet in each match of November: 5 goals in 5 matches. A real goal-machine!
Two of those goals stand out from all the rest: his goal against Manchester United assisted by Palomino and, especially, the winner against Juventus, which he scored that magical night in Turin and which will remain forever in the Nerazzurri history!
