The Spanish side have won 13 UCL titles

Real Madrid, Atalanta’s opponent in the round of 16 of the 2020-2021 UEFA Champions League, need no introduction: it’s the team who have won the most Champions League titles, 13, in their fantastic history which began in 1902 with the foundation of one of the most successful and prestigious clubs in the world football scene.

Their palmares is rich, both nationally, with 34 La Liga titles, 19 Copa del Rey, 11 Supercopa de España, a Copa Eva Duarte, and internationally, with 13 European Cup/UEFA Champions League titles, two UEFA Cups and four UEFA Super Cups, 3 Intercontinental Cups, 4 FIFA Club World Cups, 2 Latin Cups, 1 Ibero-American Cup.

From 2015 to 2018 they won the Champions League three years in a row, which is a record for the competition since taking the new name. Real Madrid are not new to such streaks, as they won the first five editions of the European Cup, from 1955 to 1960.

The first leg will be played at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo on 16-17-23 or 24 February, while the second leg, in Spain, will be on 9-10-16 or 17 March.

Real Madrid won Group B with 10 points ahead of Borussia Monchengladbach, Shakhtar Donetsk and Inter.
