Women’s activity resumed with U17s

Nerazzurre trained by Frigerio

The Nerazzurre activity also kicked off, as the Women’s U17s met this afternoon, Monday 16 August, at the “Valfregia” Sports Ground in Trezzo sull’Adda for the meeting and to carry out the tests for Covid-19 provided for by the health protocol.

The group is made up of girls born between 2005 and 2006 and is coached by Michele Frigerio, in his fourth season with the Nerazzurri, the first actual in the category after splitting between U14 and U17 last year during the halt of the championships: “There is a great desire to start over and to do well. We will already have important fixtures in September, such as the four-team tournament “Annovazzi” with Inter, Milan and Pro Sesto and the Scanzorosciate tournament, so we will immediately start strong with tests before the championship. After a year and a half of forced inactivity – continued the Nerazzurri coach – already being able to return to a normal preparation is positive. We have a qualitatively good group, made up of girls from 2005 and mainly from 2006. We also included a girl from 2007. So we will have a young team, who especially in big matches will face ‘older’ teams. Yet, we have decided to carry forward the group from 2006, who had already proved to be of high-quality last year. We decided to start early with the preparation because we will have to work a lot, but enthusiasm and desire are certainly not lacking”.
