World cup: group stage about to close

The Atalanta players called up for Qatar 2022 are in with a chance to make it to the round of 16

With the last matchday of the group stage to be disputed within the next days, the thick of the World Cup is getting close at hand: all 4 Atalanta players called up for Qatar 2022 are in with a chance to make it to the round of 16.

Teun Koopmeiners and Marten de Roon will be the first to try and punch their ticket for the round of 16 as the Netherlands is to take on the hosts of Qatar in the match scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday the 29th of November at 16:00 CET. Concurrently, also the other fixture as of Group A, namely the match between Ecuador and Senegal, will take place.

The table: The Netherlands and  Ecuador 4 points, Senegal 3, Qatar 0.

In order to try and make it to the next stage, Joakim Mæhle’s Denmark have no option but to clinch victory against Australia: kick-off time at 16:00 CET on Wednesday, November 30. In conjuction, the fixture between Tunisia and France will be played, with Les Bleus already qualified for the following stage.
The standing as of Group D sees France first with 6 points, Autralia with 3 points, followed by Denmark and Tunisia tied with 1 point each.

Mario Pašalić will be the last black-and-blue player to play the closing match of the group stage, as Croatia is to take on Belgium; with the other fixture as of Matchday 3 for Group F being Canada-Morocco- both to be played at 16:00 CET.
