Academy: activity resumed in Zingonia

Primavera and U18s back to work

After the long forced stop, the activity of the Academy has resumed for the Primavera and U18 who got back to work at the Bortolotti Training Centre. Great attention in compliance with the guidelines for the containment of the Covid-19 emergency, but also a great desire to start preparing for a season that will see the young Nerazzurri players engaged on several fronts: for the Primavera, in addition to the championship and the Coppa Italia, there will be fixtures of the Super Cup and the UEFA Youth League again this year.

As the FIGC awarded the title of Italian champions to the Primavera, the Scudetto will still be on the Nerazzurri shirts for the second year running. Massimo Brambilla will be the manager of the Primavera for the fourth season and can count again on the precious collaboration of Gianpaolo Bellini and Marco Zanchi, who, together with the goalkeepers’ coach Giorgio Frezzolini, can boast an experience of over 1600 games in total as professional footballers.

Like every year, the team has seen the arrival of a new generation, with players born in 2001 replacing those born in 2000 and the group made up of the players born in 2002 coming from the U18s and some guys from 2003 who jumped in from the U17s. The U18s will be coached by Stefano Lorenzi, a former player who can boast a long experience among the professionals, and the team will be made up of players born in 2003.

will however make up the backbone of the U18 which this year will be coached by Stefano Lorenzi, also a former player who can boast a long experience among professionals. It will be a very important year also for the U18s, who were firmly at the top of last season’s championship at the time of the suspension.
