In 2019-2020 Serie A TIM Matchday 26 the Nerazzurri majestically win 7-2 over Lecce at the Sadio Via del Mare.
It was a lively game, full of occasions since the first minutes. Donati broke the deadlock on 17′ with an unlucky own goal, nodding Iličić’s corner in his own net. On 22′ Atalanta doubled their lead through Zapata: the Colombian scored a header from another Iličić’s corner from the left. The hosts fought back to equalise first with Saponara and then Donati before half time. In the second half, just two minutes after, Iličić scored another of his magic goals (he pretended to shoot with his right foot, sent three defenders and the goalkeeper the other way and netted with his other boot) to restore the lead. Then Zapata scored two more goals (the first one from Pašlić’s assist and the second from Iličić’s). In the final minutes, Muriel beat the offside trap and scored the rebound after hitting the post, while Malinovskyi drilled his left-foot shot from the edge of the box into the near bottom corner, scoring the seventh. This is the third time that Gasperini’s team has hit seven goals in a game.
