Luis Muriel scored the second of four goals which gave Atalanta a 4-2 away win over Torino and that was also the Colombian forward’s 100th goal in his career: “It’s nice to win and score”.

“It’s always nice to start the season and – above all – to win. Then, scoring always gives you extra motivation to continue working. We know that we’ve got a whole season ahead and we want to do well”.

Luis, you scored the 100th goal of your career, what a goal was that!

“That was nice. I was joking about this with Papu, who assisted me: that was one of those goals which you either shoot well to score a ‘golazo’ or you send it into the stands. I’m really happy. I often score this type of goals. I hope to continue to score many, even less beautiful ones”.

Luis, it was important to start off well and Atalanta managed to do so.

“Yes. We started off very well. We did some mistakes which allowed them to score two goals, which we can obviously make up for. We must continue to work on little things that can help us to grow and have a great season like last year”.

Luis, coach Gasperini praised you and he even told you so before the interview.

“Yes. We have a great relationship. This fills me with confidence, it makes me want to work. Every time I speak with him, he always gives me that boost that I need to do well and to work. I’m always available for him and the team, always trying to do well”.
