In Matchday 5 of UEFA Youth League Group C, Atalanta U19 coached by Massimo Brambilla claim a 2-0 win against GNK Dinamo at the Bortolotti Centre in Zingonia (BG) and go through to the next round with one match left.

Atalanta U19 lead now the standings with 10 points, with the Croatian side being in second place with 7 points. The last match will decide if they finish on top of the Group (securing a spot in the knockout stage) or in second place (playoffs).

The Nerazzurri players started off well in the first minutes, creating many chances. Piccoli on 15 and Traore are the first attempt, but the best chance comes from Cambiaghi on 28 minutes: the captain’s finish hits the side post. On 31 minutes, Cortinovis strikes wide. Dinamo becomes threatening on 36 but Gelmi denies twice Marin’s effort on goal from close range. On 40, Piccoli’s header misses the target.

A stunning second half performance sees the hosts breaking the deadlock on 13 minutes through Cortinovis who is assisted by Traore and finds the back of the net. Three minutes after, Cambiaghi on the left sends the ball to the right to find Gyabuaa: the midfielder’s first touch finish is unstoppable and Atalanta double their lead, closing the match.
