Trivia Tuesday – Issue 12

Quiz by GM-Termoidraulica

Here’s a new episode of Trivia Tuesday, the five Nerazzurri-themed questions to test our fans’ knowledge, that from now on will be in partnership with GM-Termoidraulica, Atalanta Silver Partner. In this issue we are going to talk about goals and minutes: how prepared are you about Atalanta’s statistics during this Serie A TIM season?

1) In which part of a match Atalanta have scored the most goals?

46′-60′

Atalanta have so far quite equally distributed within 90 minutes the 70 goals scored in the league, but it’s in the first fifteen minutes of the second half that Gasperini’s team is unleashed. 14 goals scored at the start of the second half, more than in any other juncture of the match.

Curiosity: there are also 14 goals scored in the last quarter-hours of the first and second half, but in this case, the goals scored during added time are also counted.

2) Who has scored the latest goal?

Duván Zapata

It’s Zapata’s winner at the Ferraris against Genoa, a right-footed shot from outside the box under the crossbar seconds before the stroke of 96′.

3) How many goals scored in stoppage time?

6

Six goals have been scored at the buzzer, often decisive, for the Nerazzurri. Here is the full list:

  • Genoa-Atalanta, 95′ Zapata
  • Atalanta-Fiorentina, 95′ Castagne
  • Roma-Atalanta, 91′ De Roon
  • Atalanta-Verona, 93′ Djimsiti
  • Brescia-Atalanta, 92′ Iličić
  • Lecce-Atalanta, 92′ Malinovskyi

4) Who has scored the fastest goal from kick-off?

Papu Gomez

It was Sassuolo-Atalanta’s 6th minute and the Nerazzurri took the league through a trick from the captain: ball from the midfield, nutmeg and a kick with his toe to beat Consigli. The match ended 4-1 for Atalanta.

5) Mario Pašalić has scored the quickest goal as a substitute: how many seconds had passed since he had come on?

19

Atalanta-Roma, matchday 24 of Serie A, on 59: Zapata off, Pašalić on. A few seconds later, the Croatian would return to the bench, in a hurry, to cheer: right curler in the top corner which gave the Nerazzurri an important win.
