“Yes, even this year. Like you said, the result is different because it is in our favour, as last year our start was really bad, while this year we started off well with an important win for us. We expected it to be a difficult match, but we made it less complicated. Well done to everybody for this start”.

How much did you want this win?

“We prepared well for it. We left behind the defeat against Napoli. We knew we were going to play on another level, as all the teams who play in the Champions League are strong. We were mentally ready for it and we showed it on the pitch. Now the focus is back to the league.

Napoli has been set aside, like you said, you proved it against Midtjylland and Sampdoria are up next.

“Now there’s another complicated match. We’re aware that we’re going to play every three or four days now and they’ll be difficult matches, so we must enjoy this win and then think about Sampdoria from tomorrow”.
