Atalanta B.C. confirm the signing of Mattia Caldara from Milan, moving on an 18-month temporary loan with option to buy.

For Mattia, originally from Scanzorosciate, a village in Bergamo, it’s a comeback: he grew up in the Nerazzurri academy until his debut in the First Team and legitimised himself under Gasperini. From 2016 to 2018 he contributed to the team’s qualification for the UEFA Europa League and their historic Serie A points record, deserving the International call-up for Italy and standing out for his exemplary behaviour on and off the pitch.

Born in 1994, clean and efficient defender, genuine representer of the Bergamo spirit, Mattia gets back to wearing the black-and-blue jersey two years after with the goal to write new wonderful pages of his Atalanta history.
