“Honestly, this is something extraordinary for us. From a sporting point of view, anything happens will be something incredible anyway. As a club, my father above all, we wanted to thank the coach, the staff, the players, because this moment is really unusual for Bergamo, Lombardy, Italy, and they have given two hours of entertainment and joy. As a club, we can only thank for what they are doing. We are receiving many messages from all over Bergamo and not only from the football world. We know the value football has in difficult times like the ones we are facing right now. We are aware that if we have the appropriate behaviours, this disease will be defeated”.

For the Percassi, Atalanta is a family affair: President Antonio Percassi and the CEO himself grew up in the black-and-blue club, as regards football.

“We put a lot of effort and the maximum attention towards a club that we feel “on our skin”: we were born and grew up on those pitches. What we do is for our territory. At this moment results prove us right, but regardless of this, we are glad of the work we are carrying out, because there are no secrets, we just dedicate time, passion and dedication, as our city deserves it. Many people in Bergamo have watched us at home and we know how important this match was. It was a match that gave hope.
