Josip Iličić

With 4 goals, Josip Iličić was Atalanta’s top scorer. The Slovenian broke the deadlock against Apollon Limassol in Bergamo and scored also the temporary opener in the second leg against the Cyprus side, before the wonderful brace he scored at Dortmund in one of the most exciting nights of Atalanta history.

Fun fact: in each of the 8 games Gasperini made all three available substitutions up to fielding a total of 18 players throughout the competition.

2 were the Nerazzurri who didn’t lose even one minute of the competition. And if Etrit Berisha, considering the role, could be an almost obvious answer, surely Remo Freuler’s constancy and endurance amaze: both played all 720′ of Atalanta campaign.
