Young Nerazzurri: High School final exams

High school diploma for 14 players of the Academy

For some players of the Primavera, and not only them, it's time for exams. Not on the pitch, as the season ended early, but on the school desks. These are the high school final exams, an important step in the life of every teenager. And the young nerazzurri have shown their value even outside the football pitch. It's a source of pride also for our club that has always considered school education fundamental and encourages their members to finish their studies by carrying them forward in parallel with their football career. It is no coincidence that for some years an award has been established in collaboration with Brembo - Youth Academy top partner - which, at the end of the season, aims to reward not only football performance, but also behavioral and scholastic performance, with special consideration for those who demonstrate their ability to combine football and books.

The stoppage of the competitive season due to the Covid-19 emergency allowed the Nerazzurri youngsters in the last year of high school to concentrate on preparing for the high school finals, while continuing to train at home. Fourteen were the boys involved in the last school act, also including the players on loan, and all of them graduated.

For some of them, Atalanta was a reason for discussion during the exams. Federico Bergonzi completed his studies at the "Oberdan" Technical, Administration, Finance and Marketing Institute in Treviglio (Bergamo) submitting a paper on Business Economics about the balance ratios and a power-point presentation in which he recounted his experience of school-job alternation based on his 12 years at Atalanta. Giorgio Brogni graduated from the "Ikaros" Professional IT Institute in Grumello del Monte, discussing a dissertation on Atalanta, in particular an "Analysis of the Atalanta balance sheet with particular reference to the asset, financial and economic indices". Even Sebastiano Finardi at the "Sant'Agostino" Liceo Scientifico in Gorgonzola chose to "play at home" by presenting a paper on his personal path in competitive sports.

A paper on physics and maths was instead the topic brought by Alessandro Cortinovis at the "Natta" Liceo Scientifico Scienze Applicate in Bergamo. Ludovico Gelmi at the "I-School" Liceo Linguistico in Bergamo instead brought a paper on Words war. An "Analysis of a chemical industrial process" was instead the topic treated by Davide Ghislandi at the "Archimede" Chemical Institute of Treviglio.

Nicolò Milani went for a completely different topic in his paper at the "Agnesi" Liceo Linguistico in Merate: the defender developed the theme of the war, with reference to German and English literature. Samuele Signori at the "Leonardo da Vinci" Liceo Scientifico Sportivo in Bergamo, on the other hand, discussed a paper on the magnetic field created by a defined coil and integral.

Also four players on loan obtained their High School Diploma: Edgar Albani (Savona) presented a topographic paper at the "Boselli" Geometri Institute in Savona, Dennis Galati (Breno) presented the preparation of a national and international balance sheet and accounting principles at the "Argentia" Technical Institute for Finance and Marketing of Gorgonzola, Daniele Solcia (Ponte San Pietro) discussed a paper on relativity, physics and mathematics at the "Natta" Liceo Scientifico Scienze Applicate in Bergamo, Matteo Solati (Brusaporto) at the "Pacioli" Liceo Scientifico Sportivo in Crema presented a paper on mathematics and physics applied to fencing.

Finally, two players from the Atalanta U18 team graduated a year earlier. One of them is Sheb Derbali, who at the "Pessina" Professional Institute of Commercial and Tourist Services in Como discussed a very topical paper: "Solarium”, on how to restart a tourist accommodation facility at Lake Como after the lockdown. The other one is Federico Gennari who graduated from the "Bassi" Economics Technical Institute in Lodi: a paper on English and economics.

It was highly satisfying for all of them, as they successfully ended an important chapter of their personal life which effectively closes the adolescent period and opens the doors to the adults' world.
