It was a rough start against Lazio, who took a 2-0 lead within the first 11 minutes. On 31 Malinovskyi tested Strakosha with a great strike from the edge of the box.
The 1-2 came on 38 with a wonderful header from Gosens who picked up Hateboer cross to beat Strakosha. The German wing-back tested the Lazio goalkeeper before half-time.

In the second half the Nerazzurri set off determined, as Djimsiti almost drew with a shot which went just wide. The equaliser came on 21 with a wonderful fierce finish from Malinovskyi which went right into the near top corner. The turn around of the match was on 35 when Palomino scored the 3-2 header on a resulting corner. In the final stages, Gomez and Muriel came close to scoring the fourth of the match, but the result didn’t change anymore and the Nerazzurri took home three crucial points.
