ENG: Milan-Atalanta 1-1

Zapata on the scoresheet at the Meazza

On the 2019-2020 Serie A TIM Matchday 36 at the Meazza stadium in Milan Atalanta draw against Milan. One good point at one of the most in-form teams ground, which brings the Nerazzurri to 75 points.

It was an uphill battle because Milan took the lead after fourteen minutes through Calhanoglu with a free kick into the top corner. The Rossoneri got another chance five minutes later with an angled drive from Laxalt which was well-saved by Gollini. On 26 a great chance to put the game even: the referee Doveri, after the VAR check, awarded a penalty to Atalanta for a Biglia harsh foul on Malinovskyi, but Donnarumma saved the Ukrainian spot kick. The draw came on 34 through Zapata, who cleared himself in the box and beat the Rossoneri goalkeeper.

In the second half the balance did not break, despite both teams trying to win. On 14 Gomez fired a splendid volley inches wide of the post. On 28 also a chance for Milan with Bonaventura, who hit the post. It was all square at the Meazza, as it ended 1-1.
