In Serie A TIM 2019-2020 Matchday 28 at the Dacia Arena in Udine the Nerazzurri clinch another important win to consolidate their fourth place: Udinese beat 3-2 thanks to goals from Zapata and Muriel. It’s a victory that allows the team to match for the third time in the club’s history the record-streak of six wins in a row in the league and set the new record for goals scored (80).
It was a good start for the Nerazzurri, wearing today the green shirt, who, after Gollini rushed out, first almost took the lead with double chances from Gomez and Malinovskyi and then got into the lead on 9 through Zapata, who was assisted by Papu, dribbled Ekong and beat Musso. The hosts equalised on 31 through Lasagna who took advantage of his speed to go past Atalanta defence and beat Gollini who had come out. It was all square in Udine. Malinovskyi attempted to break the balance on 35, but Musso palmed it away. Three minutes went by and Lasagna became dangerous again, but his lob finish went over the bar.
At the start of the second half, Udinese had two dangerous chances with Walace, but Gollini denied him. Gasperini played Muriel and the Colombian player immediately showed up with a shot saved by Musso and then scored a stunning free-kick on 26 that went into the top corner. Muriel saw his long-range shot deflected off Musso on 33, but his brace came on 34, when the Colombian was assisted by Gomez and fired a first-touch right-footed shot into the far top corner from over 20 metres. At the end, Lasagna close header didn’t change the scoreline: it ended 3-2 for Atalanta in Udine.
