ENG: Parma-Atalanta 1-2

Malinovskyi and Gomez complete the comeback

Atalanta win over Parma after completing an important comeback on the 2019-2020 Serie A TIM matchday 37. Malinovskyi and Gomez scored in the second half to give Atalanta the 2-1 win. Three heavy points for the second place run, won at a difficult ground against a tough opponent.

The hosts got immediately dangerous in the first minutes of the game, but Gollini rushed off his line to deny Gagliolo on 8. Kulusevski hit the post on 14 with a curler. The Nerazzurri couldn’t find the target and Parma took the lead on 43 through Kulusevski, who cut inside and beat Gollini after a rebound.

In the second half the Nerazzurri were determined to come back from behind. The substitute Muriel immediately shone, but Atalanta equalised the game through Malinovskyi’s perfect free kick on 70. Captain Gomez scored the winner on 84 with a left-foot finish after a wonderful solo effort: with these two goals, Atalanta have now scored 98 goals this season. It was an agitated final with Hateboer who cleared on the line Dermaku’s shot and Gosens who tested Sepe on the counter.
