The pairings for the 2020/2021 Coppa Italia, which will see the participation of 78 teams, have been drawn at Lega Serie A in Milan. The Nerazzurri, as a seed, will enter the competition at the round of 16 stage (13th or 20th January) and they were drawn as number 1, which determines the position in the draw (in case of having another seeded team as opponent in the quarterfinals, the team with the lowest number will be entitled to play at home).

It’s a position that sees the Nerazzurri in the upper part of the draw. The Nerazzurri will have to wait for four rounds to be played to know the opponent who will come out of these meetings: Cagliari against the winner of the match between Cremonese and those who pass between Pontedera and Arezzo on the one hand, Hellas Verona against the winner of the match between Venezia and those who pass between Carrarese and Ambrosiana on the other. The other seeded team in the upper part of the draw is Lazio (potential opponent in the quarter-finals), while the seeded ones in the lower part (potential opponents in the semifinals) are Napoli and Roma.
