The Club announce that the two days of visits to the Gewiss Stadium from the UEFA commission was successful.

The inspection highlighted the need to carry out further adaptation works that will be performed in the next few weeks. Following these works, Atalanta will be able to play the UEFA Champions League matches for the 2020-2021 season at the Gewiss Stadium.

We really cared about this, as the Gewiss Stadium, once the further works requested by UEFA have been completed, will also be compliant with the UEFA criteria to host the Champions League. “We will have to speed up to complete the works in progress – stated Roberto Spagnolo, Atalanta BC’s COO and Sole Work Coordinator for Stadio Atalanta – and carry out the implementations requested by UEFA regarding the Media areas’ work stations and systems and the integration of Hospitality areas for UEFA guests”.
