President Antonio Percassi was named Person of the Year 2019 today in Milan. It’s an important award that was established by the Lombardy Group of Sports Journalists – USSI (Italian Sports Press Union of Lombardy).

During the Lombardy Group of Sports Journalists’ traditional celebration, which was postponed last year due to the pandemic, people who work in sports and communications were given awards for practising sports and writing about it in the years 2019 and 2020.

“The Person of the Year 2019 award – as the announcement of the GLGS-USS of Lombardy says – goes to Antonio Percassi, the president and patron of Atalanta, the Club that has become one of the strongest Italian football clubs and in Europe”.

“I’d like to take the opportunity to say thank you for this award – the President Percassi commented – that must be shared with all our managers and employees, the coach and his staff, the players and our fans. Our goal is to keep going in this direction”.
