The Nerazzurri player who spoke on the eve of Atalanta-PSG, the Uefa Champions League quarter-finals one-off match, was Dutch midfielder Marten de Roon: “We really want to do well”.

Marten de Roon, here we are. Less than 24 hours left and it’ll finally be Atalanta-PSG. 

“Yes, we all have been waiting for this. It’s probably our best moment, after the league. We’re fit, we have rested a little after the end of the league. Now we really want to do well, to show our play, to do something amazing also in the UCL quarter-finals. We’re pumped and ready”.

Marten, this match will write the history of Atalanta, but also the history of many of you. 

“Yes, it’s not only for Atalanta. It’s for many players. It’s the game for the city, the province, maybe for all of Italy. But also for ourselves, it’s an achievement, a dream to play in the quarter-finals against a side like PSG. It’s a unique opportunity. That’s why we’re looking forward to playing it tomorrow night. There’s great desire, but also confidence for this game”. 

Paris Saint-Germain are the team of stars. It is useless to list the players that the French side will line up. But Atalanta reached the quarter-finals for a reason. You deserve it.
