Remo Freuler spoke on the eve of the first match of the Uefa Champions League Group D between Midtjylland and Atalanta: “Our opponents have quality, but we are ready, we know what have to do”.

Remo Freuler, here we are, it’s a new European adventure, what are your feelings?

“It’s always nice to play in the Champions League. This is our second consecutive year and it’s even nicer and we know what we have to do”. 

Atalanta restart from Denmark against a team who are on their first UCL appearance, just like you last year.

“Just like us last year. They played three qualifying rounds and beat the Swiss champions, they beat Slavia Prague, they have quality and we must face them as best as we can. We know the first match in the Champions League is not easy, so we’re ready”.

How are Atalanta doing? It didn’t go well in Naples in the league.

“Yes. It didn’t go well, we lost. Yet we’re doing really well. We scored 9 points in 4 games and now, three days later, we can produce a strong display in the UCL after that loss in Naples that weighs on us”.
