The 2021-2022 Coppa Italia draw has been announced, with 44 teams entering the competition. Atalanta, the competition’s fourth seed, will enter the competition at the Round of 16 (on 12 or 19 January). Number 4, which determines the Nerazzurri’s position in the draw, was given according to last season’s league finish (the team with the lowest number will be entitled to play at home).

The Nerazzurri are on the left-hand side of the draw and they will have to wait for two rounds (and a preliminary one) to be completed to find out who they will face. The potential opponent will come out of these meetings: Bologna-winner of Ternana-Avellino, Venezia-Frosinone. The other seed on the lower side of the draw is Napoli which have number 5 (with a possible meeting in the quarterfinals), while on the upper side the top seeds (with a possible meeting in the semifinals) are Juventus and Sassuolo.
