60 thousand La Molisana pasta dishes

Donated to the Don Milani Centre in Sorisole (BG)

Five thousand kilos of La Molisana pasta were donated to the Don Lorenzo Milani Centre in Sorisole (Bergamo) which, in turn, will devolve them to other structures that manage canteens for those most in need.
The solidarity activity was put in place by the pasta factory from Campobasso and Atalanta to be close to families in difficulty.

“We aim to lend a hand to underprivileged people – said Giuseppe Ferro, CEO of La Molisana -. We involved Atalanta who immediately accepted the idea of solidarity. We delivered 5 thousand kilos of pasta that is equal to about 60 thousand dishes. Ours is a long-term product, it is a safe haven that will be able to satisfy many, many families in the Bergamo area. The synergy between business, sport and solidarity has once again met a great goal”.

The different shapes of La Molisana pasta will appear on the tables of the evening canteen at the Bergamo railway station, thanks to the Esodo service that manages it, on those of the Capuchin friars at the monastery and on those of Caritas at the Conventino, which is also in Bergamo. Other structures – that help people living in particular situations related to drug addiction, rare diseases, mistreatment – will benefit from the product as well.

“Atalanta is literally a big family – said Romano Zanforlin, Atalanta BC Sales and Marketing Director -, this activity is proof of it. I thank La Molisana for proposing this initiative that we immediately embraced. We are happy that we were able to interact with the Bergamo territory, in favour of those who need it most, in this case”.
