With the Primavera championship currently withheld and with the U18 still to play the away match against Hellas Verona hosting the rescheduled matchday 4 (on Monday at 14.30 CET), it was the turn of all the remaining U-sides of the black-and-blue Academy to hit the pitch in the weekend.

The double-fixture hosted at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia against Udinese resulted, respectively, in the 1-1 draw (with Atalanta’s temporary lead courtesy of Inacio) of our Under 16 after a last-minute equaliser by the Friulan team and in the roaring 5-1 victory of the Under 15, pictured in the cover image, with Damiano’s hat-trick together with Camara’s and Martano’s single goals featuring the final scoreboard.

On the other hand, the Under 15 came off worse from the away 5-1 defeat against Inter (with Simonetto scoring the consolation goal): apart from the negative outcome and to shift the focus on a much brighter note, the match will go down for the debut of referee Siyad Ali Hussein who, after being welcomed in Italy two years ago as a refugee escaping the civil war in Somalia where he already was enlisted in the Somalian Premier League as a professional referee, resumed to cultivate his passion for refereeing in Italy under the wings of the AIA (Italian Refereeing Association) section of Saronno. His inspiring story is bound to set an example of strength, courage and integration.

Concerning the oucomes of our Female sides, on Saturday, the Under 15 imposed themselves in the 6-3 away win over the Uesse Sarnico thanks to Riffaldi’s brace and with Boldrini, Caroli, Crotti and Evangelista scoring one gol each. Meanwhile, the Under 17 came out on top from the away match won 12-0 against the Capriate Calcio, with the final result stemming from: Vitale’s hattrick, Balossi’s and Testa’s braces, single goals scored by, respectively, Brugali, Campana, Minuscoli and Amoruso and with an own goal from the hosting team to round it off.
