Ademola Lookman’s Nigeria defeated hosting side Ivory Coast 1-0 in the second match of the African Cup of Nations group stage.
The Atalanta forward played the opening 79 minutes of the game.
In the other Group A match, Equatorial Guinea beat Guinea-Bissau 4-2.
It was an important win for Nigeria, who are now tied on 4 points with Equatorial Guinea, while Ivory Coast are on 3 points and Guinea-Bissau remain at 0.
