On matchday 11 of the 2022-2023 Serie A TIM, Lazio win 2-0 at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo, handing Atalanta the first setback of the season.
The visitors broke the deadlock in the 10th minute, as Pedro rolled across from the right for Zaccagni, who tapped in the opener at the back post. Lazio also had another scoring threat in the 12th minute with Vecino, who didn’t manage to turn Milinkovic Savic’s effort in. Atalanta’s reaction came in the 24th minute, with Hateboer’s header that was inches over.
The second half started with a shot from Marusic in the 50th minute that was turned over by Sportiello but two minutes later Lazio doubled their lead through Felipe Anderson. The Atalanta goalkeeper had to stretch out on 57 minutes to smother Zaccagni’s finish from the edge of the box. And minutes later, Muriel floated a cross in for Koopmeiners, who nodded over. Atalanta tried to pull one back but Lazio allowed the hosts very little and in the final minutes also went down to 10 men as Muriel received a second yellow card.
