On matchday 2 of the 2022-2023 Serie A TIM, Atalanta draw 1-1 against the Italian champions Milan: Malinovskyi opened the scoring and Bennacer equalised for the visitors.

It was an intense game from the opening minutes. The first chance was for the Rossoneri on 23 minutes, as Messias hit the side-netting from a good position. The deadlock was broken just before the half-hour mark, as Malinovskyi hit a left-foot screamer to beat Maignan assisted by Mæhle.

The second half started with a Kalulu header over the bar in the 50th minute. Three minutes later, Leao’s curler was inches wide of the post. Atalanta respond to it through a Pašalić header that was fingertipped over by Maignan. Then Musso had to rush off his line at the hour mark to deny Tonali. Bennacer equalised for Milan on 68 minutes with a great shot. The final minutes were intense, but the scoreline did not change. It ended 1-1 to the applause of the Bergamo crowd.
