Atalanta For Special: off to a winning debut

The Nerazzurri defeated Minerva A Cagliari 6-1

With the 6-1 walkover against Minerva A Cagliari, Atalanta for Special are off to a winning league debut.

A momentous and thrilling weekend, perhaps with a dash of reverence, for the lads of the For Special side, who, accompanied by coach Gianmario Lesmo and team executives Roberto Birolini, Aurelio Birolini and Leonardo Marcassoli, have played their very first official league match donning the black-and-blue colours: for reference, Atalanta for Special have been drafted in Group B of Tier 3 of the DPCS championship.

The match was held at the Play Sport Village venue of Busto Garolfo, in the province of Milan. Despite the bumpy road, with the Sardinian side taking an early lead, the Nerazzurri didn’t cave in but rather shrugged off the initial setback with confidence. As time went by, Atalanta’s game eventually picked up, with coach Lesmo’s boys not only finding a lightning equalizer thanks to Leidi but also managing to both turn the match around and double their lead within the first half courtesy of Virgillito and Caccia.
In the second half, Atalanta For Special went all out, topping off their debut with three more goals; with the Nerazzurri scorers being, in order of appearance: Pezzotti, Leidi (bagging in his second of the night) and Bombardieri.

Atalanta For Special will hit the pitch once again on Saturday 11/11 for Matchday 2 of the DPCS championship.
