In the aftermath of the Saturday derby against AlbinoLeffe, coach Francesco Modesto spoke in the post-match press conference: “The lads have been consistent throughout a well-played match, especially as far as duels are concerned. There is still much room for improvement when it comes to getting the hang of what the different phases of the match require and, foremost, to cutting down unwarranted faults in the closing minutes of the game since they might be conducive to set-pieces, which tend to put us on thin ice. We could have shown better game management, we need some tuning also in this regard”.

“Just like our game against Giana – said Modesto in his closing remarks – tonight’s match was rather “dirty”: we have to do better from a technical standpoint to take advantage of all our strengths. Let me assure you that the the players’ growth is steadily on the rise, we just need to keep working and honing our competitive malice; but I’m sure that, with due time, we’ll get there”.
