Carnesecchi also gets Italy call-up

With now nine senior Nerazzurri on international duty

Marco Carnesecchi has been called up by Italy’s national team manager Luciano Spalletti. The Atalanta goalkeeper will join his teammate Gianluca Scamacca in Corverciano to train with the Azzurri for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifying matches against North Macedonia and Ukraine.

Regarding Euro 2024 Qualifiers and international friendlies: Berat Djimsiti has been included in Albania’s squad for the upcoming matches against Moldova (17/11 in Chisinau) and Faroe Islands (20/11 in Tirana); Mario Pašalić will feature for Croatia in the road game against Latvia (18/11 in Riga) and the home match against Armenia (21/11 in Zagreb). Marco Carnesecchi and Gianluca Scamacca are the Italy representatives for the home clash against North Macedonia (17/11 in Rome) and the trip to Leverkusen for the match against Ukraine (20/11). As for our Oranje duo, Marten de Roon and Teun Koopmeiners have been shortlisted for The Netherlands’ upcoming commitments against Northern Ireland (18/11 in Amsterdam) and Gibraltar (21/11 in Faro, Portugal).

Juan Musso has been called up for Argentina’s 2026 World Cup Qualifiers against Uruguay (16/11 in Buenos Aires) and Brazil (21/11 in Rio).

Moving on to the African round of Qualifying fixtures for the 2026 World Cup, Ademola Lookman has been selected by Nigeria for the matches against Lesotho (16/11 in Uyo) and Zimbabwe (19/11).

Lastly, Giovanni Bonfanti will feature for Italy’s U20s in the “Elite League” commitments against England (scheduled for November 16 in Doncaster) and Portugal (to be played in Sassuolo on the 21st of November).
