Atalanta will bid their farewell to 2022 with a friendly international match to be played at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo. On the 29th of December, Gasperini’s Nerazzurri will take on the Dutch team AZ Alkmaar. Kick-off is set at 19 CET.

Playing against a team that are used to sitting in the top positions of the Eredivisie and currently competing in the UEFA Conference League this season will be a riveting test. AZ Alkmaar, comprising in their palmares two Eredivisie titles, four National Cups and a national Supercup including several participations in European competitions (worth noting, the UEFA Cup final played in 1981), have always finished within the top-5 in their domestic league in the past five seasons.
