Gian Piero Gasperini spoke at his press conference ahead of Udinese-Atalanta, 2020-2021 Serie A TIM matchday 10 fixture: “The fixture schedule is really tight and this caused problems for all teams. This is a complicated season, it’s difficult for everyone. We should have a principle: we have to take to the pitch to play as best as we can, our mentality and attitude should always be that. I’m not dissatisfied with the season played so far, quite the contrary. I have nothing to blame the team for. The guys never lacked desire and commitment, in any match, not even in the most suffered ones. The performances have been there, just like the ability to react to defeats like the one suffered against Liverpool”.

Tomorrow Atalanta face a fit opponent: “Udinese have always been a good team for me, even last year. This season, the values of individuals have emerged, as a team they are getting important wins like the one at Lazio. We face an opponent in a good moment, so we are well aware of the difficulties of this match, but we are confident that we can play our game too. We will try to do our best also in Udine, then we will think about the match in Amsterdam”.
