Gian Piero Gasperini spoke at a press conference ahead of Atalanta’s away fixture against Lecce. The 2022-2023 Serie A TIM matchday 14 fixture is scheduled for Wednesday 9 November at 18:30 CET at the Stadio Ettore Giardiniero – Via del Mare in Lecce: “We have never underestimated our opponents, so there is no risk of doing so. I expect it to be a tough game as Lecce are a very dynamic team, who caused problems for great teams. They drew at Udinese in their latest game and narrowly lost to Juventus before it. They’re a newly-promoted side that are doing well.”

Then he also gave a comment on Palomino’s return to the squad: “We are delighted to have him back; this brought him great joy too, after all that he has been through. He never trained with the team; he trained on his own, but you do not unlearn how to play football. It is only fair that we bring him with us; I have named a 24-man squad, in which Vorlicky is also included”.
