Gewiss Stadium: signed the covenant

Wrapped "under Atalanta's tree" the green light to complete the restyling of the venue

A date to mark on the agenda for both Atalanta’s institutional and corporate areas and fanbase alike as, in the afternoon of today, the day before Christmas Eve, the covenant appointing the official seal of approval to complete the restyling of the Gewiss Stadium has been signed.

In essence, upon the completion of such core administrative procedure, the Club is given the green light to “kick off” the work schedule, starting with the set-up of the construction sites for the refurbishment of, respectively: the Curva Sud Morosini, the Away Section and the Distinti Sud Stalls – as far as the premises of the Gewiss Stadium are concerned – in addition to the redevelopment of the adjoining underground parking and square.

In his address, pronounced during the course of the pre-Christmas meeting with the press and held for the occasion at the Gewiss Stadium, Luca Percassi, CEO of the Club, stated as follows: “The refurbishment works are set to commence by the end of the current sporting season: the new venue, capable of accommodating 25,000 spectators and bound to give Bergamo its just deserts and to be our pride and joy, is to be fully operational by September 2024”.
