We are celebrating Marten de Roon’s birthday today!

Born on the 29th of March in 1991 in Zwijndrecht, the Black-and-blue #15 blows 32 candles on his cake today. After a first and brief “Toccata and Fugue” back in the 2015-2016 season, his second stay turned out to be the charm as, upon his return in the summer of 2017, Marten has undoubtedly proven time and again his invaluable status of key asset and contributor to Atalanta’s latest remarkable achievements and milestones, deservingly enshrining his name in the history of the Club.

Currently disputing his seventh season with Atalanta, he has collected a tally of 288 appearances between all national (Coppa Italia and Serie A) and international competitions and scored 15 goals – with the one netted on the 17th of March in the comeback against Empoli being the latest in order of appearance.
