20/03/2022: CISSE SCORES AWAY TO BOLOGNA ON DEBUT
The first player born in 2003 in Atalanta’s history to score a goal in Serie A was Moustapha Cisse on 20 March 2022 on matchday 30 of the 2021-2022 Serie A TIM. And it was a huge goal because it earned a 1-0 win over Bologna at the Stadio Dall’Ara. And the joy was double for the Guinean striker, as it was his first Atalanta senior appearance.
18/04/2022: SCALVINI SCORES AT THE GEWISS STADIUM
Not even a month after Cisse, it was Giorgio Scalvini who wrote his name on Atalanta’s scoresheet. It happened in the home match at the Gewiss Stadium against Hellas Verona on 18 April 2022, on matchday 33 of the 2021-2022 Serie A TIM. However, the joy was dampened by the final result: the goal, which came in the final minutes of the match, was not enough to avoid defeat. But nevertheless, it was an important moment in the career of Scalvini, a product of Atalanta’s youth academy who has been with the team since he was 12 years old.
