Teun Koopmeiners set a new goalscoring record in a single Serie A TIM season with his equaliser on Monday night. The goal against Bologna, which arrived in the 47th minute at the Dall’Ara, allowed the Dutchman to bring his tally to 5 for the season (in 17 appearances). Last season – his first at Atalanta – he had found the back of the net four times in 30 appearances.

And that is not it, as the one against Bologna was also Teun’s fifth goal from outside the box: since he has been playing in Serie A TIM – i.e. the 2021-2022 season – only two players, Ruslan Malinovskyi and Fabian Ruiz (both at six), have scored more long-range goals than Koopmeiners.
