Last break before the season’s finale

Picking up the threads in Naples

Coming about this weekend, the closing International break of the season will see our 14 globetrotting Atalantini hit the pitch for a round of mostly friendlies – with the exception of Kolašinac’s Bosnia and Erzegovina, in contention for the last spot in the 2024 Euros, and Matteo Ruggeri, who is embroiled in the Under-21s Euro Qualifiers with Italy.

League fixtures will be back next week, with the last game of March ’24 that will be the curtain-raiser to an edge-of-the-seat April, as Atalanta are forced to juggle between the Serie A, the Coppa Italia and the UEFA Europa League with 8 games in store for the Nerazzurri. Does the motto “Play in May, then go away” ring any bell?

The last fixtureless weekend of the season will pave the way to the final rush, with the shakedown fixed for Easter’s Eve:  on Saturday, March 30, Gasperini’s men will hit the Armando Maradona pitch in a 12:30 CET kick-off.
