We’ve received the following letter from the General Director of the Health Protection Agency of Bergamo.

Dear Atalanta fans, 
Today is the historic day when our Atalanta face the iconic football team Real Madrid. It’s an event that instils pride, brings joy, encourages sports participation and that will remain forever in our memory.
Let’s give full support to our Nerazzurri players which they truly deserve and which we are happy to give. But let’s not forget about the responsibility that this historic moment requires and let’s avoid public both at the Stadium and in its vicinity. We must take into consideration the risk of infection by the virus we are fighting against with all our efforts and abilities.
This great historic match must be held with care and caution that are necessary at this moment and we must follow the sanitary preventive measures that are required and avoid meetings, hugs, choirs and gatherings. The time will come when we will be able to do all this liberally again and, of course, we will be there but now we must be patient as we were looking forward to this dream match against Real.
All the fans of Bergamo will be able to show once again their support of the DEA, with affection and respect for our dear ones: even if we will be at home in front of the TV, we will still feel that we are part of the small piece of the football history of Bergamo that we will tell our grandchildren.
