Upon debuting in the African Cup of Nations this afternoon, Ademola Lookman’s Nigeria closed their maiden match in the international competition with a 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea.

Not only did the Atalantino play the full 90 minutes (+ added time) of the match, but he also provided the assist for Nigeria’s equaliser.

The Super Eagles will be back on the pitch on Thursday, January 18, at 18:00 CET as they take on hosting side Ivory Coast, who defeated Guinea Bissau 2-0 in the opening game of the tournament.
